Every good party starts with a good party plan. Here at Vector, we are lucky enough to have our HR Manager Maggie Sheehy double as our party planning EXPERT. Here are some party dos and don'ts that we learned from her last month:
1. DON'T Pick a Boring Location.
Maggie always picks the best places for events, and our 2017 Holiday Party was no exception! Nestled in the Ludlow Hotel in the Lower East Side, we celebrated each other in a private room at Dirty French. Fancy!
2. DO Surround Yourself with People That Make You Happy.
With an incredible team and delightful friends and family, this was a no-brainer.
3. DON'T Skip the Food.
A carving station, salad station, and toast station in addition to passed hors d'oeuvres meant a little something for everyone.
4. DO Create Custom Cocktails.
Nick and Stu had another signature cocktail-off, with Nick keeping tabs on what drink was ordered the most (The Stu, right?). Which one would you choose?
The Stu: Blanco Tequila, Pear Eau De Vie, Ginger, Gentian, Lemon
The Nick: Cumin Rye, Irish Whiskey, Cinnamon, Xocolate Mole Bitters, Absinthe Rinse
The Vector: Cognac and Jamaican Rum, Passion Fruit, House Falernum, Lime, Bitters
5. DON'T Forget Your Accomplishments.
Everyone took a moment to raise our glasses to each other to celebrate our work throughout the year. Cheers!
6. DO Hire a Professional Photographer.
Wrangling our team for picture time is no easy task. Big thanks to Stephanie Eichman for these great shots!
7. DON'T Take Yourself Too Seriously.
