One of the add-ons we acquired last month is Field Editor, the custom field management add-on for ExpressionEngine. Field Editor makes laborious task of custom field management fast and easy, by consolidating all of your fields and settings into one simple interface.
We knew that if we were to continue to offer Field Editor for sale that we'd need to spruce it up. After a full code review, we fixed many known and newly discovered bugs.
Then, we did quality assurance testing on all of the following versions of ExpressionEngine: 2.5.3, 2.6.1, 2.7.3, 2.8.1, 2.9.3 and 2.10.1.
We tested all the native fieldtypes, including Grid and Relationships, all of the Pixel & Tonic fieldtypes, and a handful of other custom fieldtypes.
And so...we are thrilled to announce the release of the latest version: Field Editor 2!
Let's highlight some of our favorite things about Field Editor:
Drag & Drop Re-ordering
Easily change the order of your custom fields. No fiddling with individual order numbers.
Auto-Prefixed Field Names
Keep things organized by using a common prefix on all your field short names.
Cloning Fields
Re-use existing field definitions!
Importing / Exporting Field Groups
Export a field group and its fields to a JSON file. Re-use entire field groups!
Field Editor 2 is now available on sale for $25 at devot:ee. Buy it today! If you bought Field Editor 1 in the last 30 days, don't worry: you'll get a copy of Field Editor 2 free of charge and should have already received an email from us.
(And, are you an ExpressionEngine developer with a custom fieldtype? Let us know if you'd like us to support it in Field Editor!)
