Getting to Know: Beau Scaduto

Our team is composed of many different people with unique backgrounds, experiences, and skills. Each person brings new elements to the table that are essential in creating a well-rounded company. In this series of blog posts, we hope to let our readers get to know our team as well as we do. From what they do both inside and outside of the office to their tastes in TV and music, these posts are a chance to learn about about what makes our team members tick.

Meet Beau - SEM/PPC specialist, sandwich enthusiast, beach lover, and sports fan.

Hailing from Lynbrook, NY, Beau started working for Vector in April 2016. Living in Long Beach with two sets of twins, Beau loves being active on the beach: playing Spikeball, KanJam and hanging out with friends. I sat down with Beau to talk about sports, good vibes, and what he loves about working at Vector.

Q: Where did you go to school and what did you study?
A: I went to SUNY Cortland - I was originally studying Physical Education and Personal Training, but then I switched to Math Education and graduated with my BA in Mathematics.

Q: How has your role developed or changed since you started working here?
A: Since I’ve been at Vector, I’ve grown into more of a manager within my area of expertise and I have more freedom with the work I do for clients. Our marketing team has also grown quite a bit, both in terms of our size and the size of our clients. That’s been pretty cool to see.

Q: What does your typical day in the office look like?
A: I take the LIRR to work in the morning, check my emails and see if there are any news updates, check on my clients’ performance rates, and see what areas need attention. I love working with multiple clients, because there’s something new every day.

Q: What is your favorite thing about working at Vector?
A: Lunch! I switch it up every day, but I love sandwiches with chips in them. My ideal sandwich is a chicken cutlet with fresh mozzarella, roasted peppers, balsamic vinegar with salt and vinegar Lay’s potato chips. CrunchTime!
[Editor's note: All Vector NYC employees get lunch paid for by the company, every day]

Q: If you could only eat one food for the rest of your life what would it be?
A: I’ve gotta say New York style pizza - I love a good buffalo chicken or meatball slice.

Q: If you were put in charge of the office playlist, what would it include?
A: Nothing but “good vibes” music - I love urban beats, rap, and soulful, upbeat music.

Q: If you could go anywhere in the world, where would you go and why?
A: Italy. I grew up in an Italian family, and I’ve always wanted to go see everything that Italy has to offer. I'd especially love to see The Colosseum, all of Rome, and the beautiful beaches of Sicily.

Q: If you could describe yourself in three words, what would they be?
A: Athletic, confident, and quiet. I was extremely athletic when I was younger, then I dislocated my shoulder 17 times playing baseball. I’m still pretty athletic - I’m the self-proclaimed MVP of the annual Turkey Bowl football game that my friends and I play on the Saturday after Thanksgiving.

Q: If you were in charge of planning Vector’s next employee event, what would you do?
A: I would love it if everybody went to a sporting event, like a New York Rangers game.
