Last month was an exciting time for Vector! We added some new people to the team, received impressive awards, and were very excited to invite our remote team to the NYC office for a few days to collaborate and celebrate at our Annual BBQ.

New to the team:
- Meet developer Spicer Matthews - he loves snowboarding, skateboarding and tennis, and grew up in upstate NY on the Canadian border. He used to hit golf balls into Canada from his front yard!
- Meet development intern Jessica Kustra - she is fluent in Spanish, and knows all of the words to Nicki Minaj’s verse in “Monster”!

Our SEO team has earned us the Google Premier Partner designation! Google Premier status is the highest Google Partners ranking and only 3 percent of all Google Partners worldwide achieve Premier status. As a Google Premier Partner, we will be featured on the Google Partners Search website for our high level of experience and proficiency in developing, launching, and managing AdWords campaigns for local merchants and small businesses. Premier Partners also receive extensive product training, tools, and AdWords support so we can stay abreast of the latest Google technology, saving you time and resources. We are extremely proud of this accomplishment, as it shows that we have demonstrated advanced knowledge in SEO and maintained a strong track record of performance for our clients.

Creating effective, responsive websites is what we do. Check out how we built complex, city specific sites for Airbnb or how we collaborated with TedX and Adelphi University to create an engaging, highly informational website on an extremely tight deadline.

The new conference rooms are done! The addition of two new conference rooms and a fancy new bathroom sign gave the office a nice summer facelift!

We were featured in a Parse.ly blog post regarding our partnership with Greentech Media (GTM), specifically about how using Vector for their development needs has been crucial to their success. Be sure to check out our work for GTM on their newly rebuilt iOS app!

With the full team in the NYC office, we enjoyed two afternoons of demonstrations from each of our teams, ranging in topics from modular design creation and implementation to what it means to be a lead developer. We also learned “10 Things” about Stephen Lewis, Brent Wilson, Christy Collins, Sam Hernandez, Rob Sanchez, and Leslie Doherty. Check out pictures from the presentations, “10 Things”, and more on our “Celebrating The Vector Team in NYC” blog post!

We were beyond thrilled to continue to celebrate the whole Vector team with their families at our Annual Summer BBQ. With great food, custom Snapchat filters, KanJam, ping pong, swimming, trampolines, competitive kickball, and Mr. Softee, it was a fantastic day with the extended Vector family. Check out our Facebook and the 2016 Vector Summer BBQ post for more pictures of the fun!
